The Full Vision of God's House of Promise
What a joy it is to see downtown Souderton and many of our local communities being restored. So many of the buildings
are getting a face lift and yet there are still many unsettling things going on behind closed doors. The PA uniform crime
reporting system showed these statistics in our local area in 2010:
Bucks County
710 Violent Crimes – this includes, murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault
Montgomery County
1,585 Violent Crimes – this includes, murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault
We, at God’s House of Promise, desire to see these statistics change. Our hope is to unite the Christian community in the
Bucks and Montgomery County area with a strategic plan. to change the spiritual climate and in so doing, see the region
transformed.
Phase I
1. Uniting the body of Christ in the Bucks and Montgomery county area regardless of race or denomination. We desire
to bring down the walls that divide God’s people that we might come together for the purpose of glorifying Him.
2. Glorify God by continually reading His word aloud (on location), from morning until night, 5 days a week
and by joining together in prayer and monthly worship.
We believe the scripture is true when it says:
“…so shall My word be which goes out from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that
which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
“God inhabits the praise of His people.” (Psalms 22:3)
We believe that as Christians come together and as the body of Christ unites to glorify Him, that the spiritual climate will
change in the BucksMont area. As this change occurs we plan to branch out into the community in Phase II.
Phase II
1. Train the body of Christ that we as believers are “ministers” of the Gospel and are to consider our work and serving
others as worship unto the Lord.
2. Train the body of Christ to no longer curse (speak negatively), but to speak blessings regardless of race, denomination
political position or social status.
3. Take the Kingdom of God to where the kingdom of darkness is entrenched, (individuals, marketplace and government
institutions) in order to build relationships with the goal of sharing Christ.
4. Our goal is to adopt every street and home in the BucksMont area in prayer. We believe that prayer changes things
and we want to take up this powerful weapon and begin to use it in transforming our community.
Phase III
As we continue reading God’s Word aloud, uniting together in prayer and worship and covering our streets with prayer, we
believe that God will provide opportunities for us to come along side of individuals, government institutions and the market
place. Our hope is that as we move out into the community God will begin to remove relational, motivational, material and
spiritual poverty. Many are hurting in their relationships, living in hopelessness, struggling with addictions and financial
burdens. This list is endless. We desire to come along side of people to bless them with the ultimate goal of sharing Christ
and as we do this we believe God will cause a major transformation in each one of us as well.
Please prayerfully consider joining us in reaching out and rebuilding the Bucks and Montgomery county area.
Examples (these are real examples of transformation occurring in neighboring counties)
1. One group in a neighboring area met with a judge and local police to determine the needs of the community and to
offer help and prayer. As a result, a christian afterschool program has been established and is mentoring children who
might otherwise be on the streets.
2. Another organization is coming along side of the educational system. Not only are they meeting with and praying for the
administration, teachers and students, but they are training adults to teach a curriculum based on Christian principles in
an afterschool program held in a public school building. Teachers and students are enthusiastically becoming involved as
they realize that their schools are a mission field.
3. As we build relationships with the people in our community we will become aware of needs. We anticipate God using
individual resources and gifts to meet these needs (e.g. food [including meals], home repairs, transportation,
companionship, housing, etc…) with the goal of leading people to Christ.
